In January, a puppy wandered onto the property of Mr. Amos, his wife Rebecca, and their daughters, Lacey and Doris. Doris didn't like puppies so when her father tried to pick the puppy up, Doris just simply said, "don't even bother."Rebecca told Lacey and Doris to go to the pet shop and get some food for the poor hungry dog. Lacey and Doris were walking down one of the pet food aisles when Doris stopped and found a silver wallet. Suddenly Lacey yelled, "Hey Doris, whatcha doin'?"
"Lacey I found…" then she stopped. Doris decided not to tell anyone what she had found.
"You found what?" Lacey asked from the next aisle.
"Never mind," said Doris.
Later that day Doris was watching TV and eating some Cheese-Its. Doris was munching so hard she couldn't hear the TV so she had to turn up the volume. Doris dropped a Cheese-It on the ground. When she turned around to pick it up, the puppy ran and jumped on her lap. "Yuck," Doris cried as she pushed the puppy off her lap. "Dumb puppy," she mumbled under her breath. As she swiped the puppy off of her lap she saw the same symbol on the puppy as the symbol she had seen on the wallet. "Oh my gosh!" Doris thought.
