Young Writers Camp - Oakland: Delicious

Delicious

is eating a ripe, juicy mango in late July

in the middle of the day, eating it with my dad

my dad eats the meat part, (and I eat some too!)

I suck on the best part of all

the juicy pit

silverware is NOT allowed!

You must only use your hands

when I finish eating, there is juice all over my face

and my hands get really sticky from the yellow-orange meat color

oh, and THAT is what delicious is
