2007-2008 Saturday Seminar Series

All Bay Area teachers are invited to join us on October 20, 2007 and January 19, March 15 and May 10, 2008 at Albany Middle School for a series of free morning workshops for teachers and educators. The themes are listed below. Check back a few weeks before each event to see detailed workshop descriptions.

These seminars are hosted by UC Berkeley's Bay Area Writing Project in partnership with the Bay Area Science Project, Bay Area Mathematics Project and the History-Social Science Project. Check www.bayareawritingproject.org a few weeks prior to each seminar for complete workshop and keynote details. The morning agenda will always be the same:

8:30-9:00...........Begin with coffee and conversation

9:00-10:15..........Keynote Speech--All are welcome!

10:35-12:45........Writing Workshops

10:35-12:45........History/Social Science Workshops

10:35-12:45........Science & Math Workshops

GET UNIVERSITY CREDIT
One (1) unit of credit from Dominican University is available for anyone who attends all four of our Saturday Seminar sessions and completes a short paper at the end of the seminar series (in May 2008). The cost for the unit is $45. Enrollment forms will be available at the October, 2007 and January 2008 seminars and must be submitted along with payment on or before January 19, 2008.

Attendance at the Saturday Seminar Series is free and no registration is required. Workshops take place at Albany Middle School.
