1. Jill has 4 nickels and 7 pennies. Jonathan has twice as many nickels and three times as many pennies as Jill. How much money does Jonathan have?
2. Signs are placed every 6 miles along a road. There is a sign at the beginning of the road and a sign at the end. If there are 8 signs in all on the road, how long is the road?
3. Every time his football team scored a touchdown, worth 6 points, Will kicked an extra point, worth 1 point. Will's team won 56 to 28, scoring only touchdowns and extra points. How many extra points did Will kick?
4. Jason waters the plants in his vegetable garden every 4 days. If he began on March 3, how many times did he water the plants during the month?
5. On grid paper, Gina wrote the numbers 1-99, putting 8 numbers in each row. What is the last number she wrote on the third line? What multiplication fact does this show? Where did she write the number 56? What is the greatest two-digit number she wrote in the ninth row?
