The Well

This book is the next step of The Land. If you have read The Land then you need to read this book. It is about two boys and these white boys who are racist and dump a dead skunk down the only water the state has. Which is the Logans well. The Logans are black. I don't want to tell you everything. You have to figure it out by reading this amazing book. Read The Land first. Then the well. Next up Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry. Don't forget about Let The Circle Be Unbroken

This story is full of everything. It tells you about how it was in the early nineteen hundreds. The story shows how much the world has changed. Would you want to live in a world with non-stop killing because of your skin color? It wouldn't be like it is now. Take Sequoia as an example.

Love, Stargirl

Love, Stargirl with Signed Bookplate Cover

Do you like to read books and letters? If you do then Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli is one of the best books you'll ever read!! You may have heard of Stargirl which is the book before this one. Stargirl, the main character in the story, is a homeschooled highschooler who is sad and confused. She is like this because she got dumped by her boyfriend. Now I know this sounds simple but there is more to it then you think. She got dumped before she moved to Pennsylvania, but she still loves him and still doesn't understand why he stopped loving her.

Love, Stargirl is an amazing story about how a teenager deals with the obstacles of life. And one thing that makes this book even cooler is the format the story is in. It's written in letters!! So if you want to read a soul-satisfying story, start reading this book NOW!!

Kooks in the Cafeteria Book Review

If you like comics you should read the Comic Guy series of comics! It's a short book, but its very funny. Guy's math class was so boring, he fell asleep! Sad, isn't it? His best friend Molly makes the same excuse as Guy. They end up in the cafeteria where the mean Mrs. Wolf works. She's in her office for most of the time. While Guy isn't in is dreadful punishment, he's on the newspaper. (With evil Zoe) He needs to find a story, a really good one! It took awhile but he found out!

I really like this book because it's very humorous. I just got it yesterday and read it really quickly. Comic lovers would die to read this book! You can get this book from any book store. There's also a little reading involved!

Hannah Montana Hold On Tight Book Review

Do you really want to read a good book? Well you've come to the right place! This is a book about this girl Miley and her two friends, Lilly and Oliver. Miley has a secret that she is really Hannah Montana. So in this book Miley has a class play and Lilly and Miley have to choose partners so Lilly chooses a guy (I forget his name) but now Miley has to choose Oliver. So after school Miley and Oliver go to Miley's house and start to rehearse what they're going to do for the play. There is just too much to tell you about!
Now is this book only for girls? Nooooo it's not. Anyone can read it! If I were to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest I would say probably an 8 or 9. I really like it!!! It is awesome! If you're out there reading this book review and you think its a good book and you don't know where to get it then go to google and look up "Hannah Montana Hold On Tight." So look it up now!

Jigsaw Jones The Case of Hermie the Missing Hamster

Want a book all about mystery? Then Jigsaw Jones The Case of Hermie the Missing Hamster is the right book to read for fun or even in class. Once you read one of the chapters of this book you will get into it so fast. Even if you are in class reading this book and your teacher tells you to put away your book, you will just keep reading.
This is about this boy who is good at solving every single mystery his classmate tells him about. His name is Jigsaw and he has a partner name Mila and they are just in 2nd grade. One day, there was this boy who needed help to find Hermie, his hamster, back. So he asked Jigsaw for help. Did Jigsaw get Hermie back?
I give this book a two thumbs up because it gives a little hint each chapter you read. Everybody will start liking this book because the author describes each scene with descriptive sentences.

Journey to Topaz Book Review

Journey to Topaz is about a little girl who's father is taken away by American police. They were a family from Japan. Their family was a very lucky family because they moved to America when the war had begun. It was against the Americans and the Japanese. Soon their brother had a great opportunity to go to Utah to help a very profesional doctor. They were out of food and they were starving. Luckily they had some very nice friends who gave them tea and cookies. They offered them a trip to go to Utah too.

You should try reading this book. It is a very sad story. It is partly about the author. It happened to her when she was not that old. Try it!

Dragon Slayers Academy Review

Cover Image

My favorite book is Dragons Slayers' Academy:Class Trip to the Cave of Doom. I like it because it's funny when they do silly things like their coach gets scared out of his wits when he finds some frogs in his tent. Another silly part is when some of the kids in the group "Bloodhounds" have to carry their coach after he becomes a looney. The coach had called himself Queen Mary. It's also funny when the bloodhounds had to tickle their headmaster to get his hands off of some gold being sucked down from something.

I'm not sure about you, but I really enjoyed it. If you can't find the book, go to a nearby library in your neighborhood or a town.

Our Only May Amelia Review

Dear Book Lovers (and children bored from watching T.V.),

I have some great news!! During the month of September I read one of the best books of all time. The name of this masterpiece is Our Only May Amelia. Our Only May Amelia is a touching story about a young girl in a settlement who is the only girl in Nasel,Washington. She has to deal with 7 brothers, her grumpy Pa, and chores.

It is sweet and sad, and VERY heart warming. I would really recommend this story for all ages. It's a great story to sit down and read, or it could be read to you by an adult. Personally I wouldn't read this story at night because of one scary part, ( you'll have read the story to find out what it is though). So go to the library and pick it out, borrow it from a friend, or go to book store a buy it. I promise you, if you like historical fiction books, or are just looking for a new book to read you WILL enjoy it.

I am reading a book called The Borrowers. I recommend this book because it feels like you are one of the characters. If you like fantasy stories you will like this book. The Borrowers are called the Borrowers because they borrow things from people. Would you like to be a little person who lives in your own house? Well, if you do, then this will tell you the story of three small people (or borrowers) who live in somebody else's house.

One of the main characters is Arritey, who is about seven, and likes to go borrowing. She meets a boy on her first time borrowing. They become friends. The boy gives Homily (the mom) and Pod (the dad), and of course Arritey, things from an old doll house. That's why I like this book.

Hey, you third graders! So have you heard of Harry Potter? Well I have read almost all of them and from my point of view they're very exciting! If you like fairy tales that sometimes have violence and scary stuff then you're in perfect shape to read it!

You may not want to read it at night, but every other part of the day is good. If you're like me, you might start reading it nonstop. Then when you have a very hard assignment it will be hard to stop reading (but you can do it!).

Anyways, if you have already been reading them and you finished the 6th and you want to know when the 7th is coming out it will come out on July 7, 2007. But if you haven't been reading them then you should really start!

The Egypt Game

The Egypt Game, by Zilpha Keatley Snyder, is a very exciting book. It's about a girl named April from Hollywood. Her mom is a singer. Her mom is on a tour. So April is living with her grandma that she hardly knows. I like this book beacause its about a girl from Hollywood which I think is exciting. April and her friends use recycled materials to make their Egypt costumes.

Junie B. Jones

Junie B. Jones, by Barbara Park, is about a girl who is great and funny. Even though she is in first grade, she can use some outstanding words.

It's a really cool book for you to read. It is the kind of book that you can read over and over again. You will want to read this book.
