Volunteer

When children are valued and their needs are met, society benefits; children thrive and communities unite. —Michele Mason

Thank you to the volunteers who:
  • Help with Kindergarten motor skills

  • Help Kindergarteners at lunch time

  • Bring snacks to class

  • Come to meetings

  • Get to know where things are, how things work

  • Take on a project

  • See a problem and fix it or find a way to fund it

  • Reach out to other parents

  • Learn new skills

  • Share their resources

  • Raise much-needed dollars

  • Make our school a nicer place

Sequoia has a long history of volunteering and parent involvment.

The generosity of Sequoia volunteers enriches the experience of all of our students, providing them with library, gardening and art resources, as well as social events that build our community. Our volunteers raise thousands of dollars each year that contribute directly to our children's enrichment and education.

All parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in whatever capacity they can, whether spending time in a classroom, taking a shift at an event or work day, or doing a task from home or the office.

Please register your interests by taking our Family Survey (community and alumnae welcome, too!), or by calling the office at 879-1510 and leaving your contact information.

And watch our weekly Newsletter for the Principal's "Shout-Outs" to volunteers!
