I am reading Roald Dahl’s book called
Witches. I like Witches because it talks about a boy and his grandma. The boy’s
parents have died in a car accident. Then the boy sees witches in the hotel
that he lives in with his grandma. It’s interesting and I like it because he
turns into a mouse. He is my first favorite author.
My second favorite author is Beverly
Cleary. They are my favorites because their books are interesting and they make
me want to read a lot. I read Ramona the Brave. It’s a great book because it
talks about the older sister, Beezus, and the younger sister, Ramona. Ramona
always gets what she wants.
Sometimes I read in my bed or maybe just
on the floor. Those are quiet spaces for me to read. I get to be alone to read.
I am kind of in the middle as a reader.
Sometimes I might take my time to think about why the author wrote it, or maybe
to say the things I don’t understand. When I was in first grade, I would sit in
my group, by my teacher, on the ground and we would read easy books together.
That helped me learn how to read now.
