I have 15 dogs. I want to share my dogs with my 2 friends. We want each of us to have the same amount. How many dogs do each of us get?
The answer is 5 because it's really 3 groups of 5 and for a faster way it's 5 x3=15. You can check by counting by fives but only three times.
