"Monkey Falls for It"
I. Nonfiction Paragraph
Monkeys are great athletes. They swing from branch
to branch without every falling. They can hang by their tail. They can
leap from one tree to the other. I love to watch them do their thing.
II. Monkey Play
Monkey: Another boring day in the jungle. I guess I'll just hang out, as usual. Oh, look, here comes Lion!
Lion: Hey, Monkey old pal. Come on down. Give me a hug!
Monkey: Um, no thanks, Lion. I think I'll stay up here. Why don't you come on up?
Lion: Very funny.
Monkey: Hey, but maybe I'll fall today. Let's see. Let me swing on this branch and see if I slip. Nope. Sorry.
Lion: Wow, you're a good athlete. What else can you do?
Monkey: Check this out! See that tree over there? Ahhhh yah yah yah yahhhh! Made it!
Lion: Bravo. Well done. Good show. You're amazing. Do something else!
Monkey: Ok. My arms are tired. What will I do? I know, hang by my tail like this! Ooh ooh eeh eeh ahh ahh.
Lion: Brilliant. Stupendous. More! More!
Monkey: More? Hmm. Watch me balance on one foot! Whoa whoa, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! (THUMP!)
Lion: Wow. What a great athlete. And delicious too!
