BAWP's 2013 Summer Institute
Each summer since 1974 the Bay Area Writing Project has brought together 15-20 teachers from across grade levels and disciplines as BAWP Summer Fellows to examine successful classroom practices in teaching writing and using writing to help students learn.
BAWP's belief in the professionalism of teachers is reflected in the design of the Summer Institute where Fellows participate in a highly collaborative professional learning community. After completing the Institute, all Fellows become BAWP Teacher Consultants (TCs).
Effective March 16, the 2013 Institute is closed to new applicants. If you are interested in applying for 2014, please download the application at the following link, fill in your contact info, and email it to paulc@berkeley.edu as an attachment. We will keep it on file and send you an invitation to apply next winter.
